John F. McNeill
John F. McNeill received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Citadel in 1972. He received his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University, and was admitted to the practice of law in North Carolina in 1975.
After a three year tour with the Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps, he went on to the University of Miami where he received a Masters of Law in Taxation. He was admitted to the practice of law in South Carolina in 1979. Additionally, he received his MBA degree from the Citadel, and was certified by the United States Tax Court in 1981. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the Charleston County Bar Association.
After 34 years of service in the United States Army and Army Reserve he retired as a Brigadier General in 2009. He formed The McNeill Group, LLC, a South Carolina law firm, in 2011.
General McNeill is married to Nancy A. McNeill, and has two children, Sarah M. Meany and Katherine M. Prechter. He currently resides in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
